I utilized Dr Osinubi as my medical expert in an occupational exposure case, alleging the development of non-small cell carcinoma of the lung, as a result of multiple carcinogens, resulting in the death of my client.

Dr Osinubi did a superb job in preparing her report, and in reviewing all pertinent materials. As there was an allegation of asbestos exposure, she had the foresight to secure a “B” reading of decedent’s pre-radiation therapy CT scans, and the thoroughness to be present at the time of the “B” reading, in order to be in a position to testify as to the results of the same. 

 Insofar as her testimony, her demeanor on the witness stand was impeccable. She was precise in her testimony, assertive but poised and cordial in her responses, and did not waiver in the slightest concerning her opinions and conclusions under cross-examination. She successfully fended off all attacks and displayed both thorough knowledge, and calm certitude while testifying.

Dr. Osinubi participated as an expert witness in an extremely complicated case against the owner of a chemical company that had accumulated thousands of drums of various chemicals. The defendant was charged with hazardous waste storage and disposal, violation of the Water Pollution Control Act, and creation of a risk of widespread injury. Dr. Osinubi provided expertise on the human health effect of the defendant’s activities, particularly relating to the charge of creation of a risk of widespread injury.

Dr. Osinubi reviewed voluminous discovery to ascertain what materials were stored in the facility. She then provided detailed analysis of the health effects of leaking chemicals, and what would result if the facility were to catch fire. This task was complicated by the potential for interaction of the numerous chemicals present. Her clearly written report eliminated any argument over potential health impacts.

Dr. Osinubi went beyond merely answering my questions and provided valuable input and direction in formation of the prosecution. In particular, there were too many drums to test every substance. She was instrumental in helping to choose which materials to analyze. It was in conversations with Dr. Osinubi that I was able to formulate the prosecution strategy for the charge of creation of a risk of widespread injury.

The defendant decided to plead guilty to the charges as the jury was coming into the courtroom. I am sure that Dr. Osinubi’s participation was a strong factor in his decision. I will not hesitate to retain Dr. Osinubi in the future.
